Stefano Macchi di Cellere is a dual-qualified lawyer (Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and Avvocato of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy) whose focus is on the Internationalisation of Enterprises, Cross-border M&A, International Corporate Law, Competition Law, and Technologies related strategic Litigation and Arbitration.
He is the Managing Partner of the London Office of the International Law Firm “Macchi di Cellere Gangemi”.
Stefano is negotiator and mediator in pleadings and appeals and litigates damages actions, unfair competition, and intertwined licensing and intellectual property disputes. In particular, Stefano assists clients investing and doing business in the UK and in Italy, both in the public and private sector.
Stefano is qualified to stand before the Court of Justice of the European Union, the English and the Italian Courts.
He graduated in Law in Rome, attended various International and common-law law courses in the US, and read for his LL.M in London.
Stefano is the founder and Vice President of Pro Bono Italia, the first association of lawyers, law firms and forensic associations formed with the goal of promoting and spreading a culture of pro bono throughout Italy, and a regular contributor to the World Bank’s Doing Business annual reports.
He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Italian Bar, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (Council Member and Chair of the Aerospace Committee, 1998-2000, Vice Chair, 1996-1998), the Alumni Association of the Academy of American and International Law (Deputy Secretary General, 1990-1991).
Stefano speaks fluently English and Italian.
