Bruce Sanderson was born in Canada, where he studied urban geography at the University of Waterloo, then earned a Master’s degree from Queen’s University. He entered the wine industry after moving to New York in 1990, gaining experience at specialty retailer Burgundy Wine Company and working as a sommelier at Windows on the World. Bruce Sanderson joined Wine Spectator in 1993 and has been a Senior Editor since 1999. His tasting regions: Italy (Piedmont and Tuscany), Burgundy.
